I've just finishing lighting my blue candle. My son will be doing Battlestations tonight and will PIR on 2/4/11. May he feel the warmth of this flame in his heart and know that our prayers are with him. God I miss him and can't wait to see him!!!

Blue Candles burning across America today as we honor Memorial Day. To the wives and mothers who have lost their Military loved one. I honor their memory and you. Blue Candle will be burning from Austin to Amarillo as I am flying around the state the next few days. Please remember American Service Personnel on this very important day.

Our daughter's boyfriend has been at boot camp now for 7 weeks and has his PIR on 4/9/2010! With his Battle Stations-21 coming up next week, we will have that blue candle lit and burning all the time! I keep him, his family, all the sailors and service members and their families in my daily prayers; may God watch over them all and protect and guide them and keep them all safe and away from harm.

My daughter just left GL to go to A school in Pensicola Fl. on 03-21-2010, I miss her dearly and would be eager to light a blue candle in her honor. I love the idea of the 3 wick candle. My soon to be son-in-law is in Norfolk, Va at this time also in the navy, but will be off of active duty 05-25-2010, but I will have one flame represent my daughter, one my son in law, and the last flame to represent all the other military heroes that I don't know personally.

Lighting the blue candle became quite a ritual each morning my daughter was a BC. It helped me to start my day by doing something for her. I would light the candle and then start my prayers for her which continued on and off all day. I went thorough a lot of blue candles in 8 weeks! Now she's made it-she's a sailor and in A School. Now I pray for her studies and I light the candle once a week for all sailors past and present.
