I am new to Navy moms. My son just left for bc on Oct 5th. I enjoy reading everyones comments but not sure how to respond or add my own. I'm a little computer challenged!
Would like to come to your get together in Los Altos but that is not a good weekend. Maybe next time.

My son's box of clothing arrived on Friday. Everything is washed and put away. It's a little sad to know that he has nothing there that belongs to him. We keep thinking about him and what he may be doing.

Hey Linda in Lincoln: Would you like to ride down with Jody and I? I am driving a Tahoe and have five seat belts. I think it will be fun to car pool down. If your interested, please let me know. I'm all into saving where we can and getting to know eachother. So far it is just Jody and myself. I'll figure out times as we get closer to the date. Just let me know - Susan

Bea, I am looking forward to attending. We are still waiting to hear when our son will be home from Prototype School-----but I think it will be later than the M&G date.

You are most generous to host this event, but I must send my regrets as that is when my husband will be going to visit our son in Norfolk and I must remain at home and tend to our girls' (and livestock's) demands. Best wishes to all, tho.

I am trying to learn this site but most importantly would love to meet some real moms and dads with children in the Navy. Our 18 year old son leave for bc on 10/08, so this invitation is a godsend. I am generally in a state of panic since my son is a pretty dizzy kid and rather talk about girls and sports than the Navy. I get most of my info from this website. We live in San Bruno and I worked for the City of Saratoga for 5+ years. My husband and I will attend for sure. I will bring a coffee cake and look forward to this.
