Folly Beach is where were going to, it about 15 min or so, it's suppose to be a really nice beach and he says it's kept well too. Mytle beach is a really popular beach too, but it's up north more and about an hour away, we just want to have some chill time, (as the boys say) and enjoy the afternoon!! 7 am it is, thanks.

I'm coming from So. California and staying at the Hampton Inn No. Charleston. Arriving on Weds. night. Can't wait to be there. Last time we visited So. Carolina we went to Folly Beach - nice place.

Karen--which beach are you planning to visit? Our son will be graduating on Friday and has not spent very much time at the beach. We are planning to go on Sat & Sun to the beach if the weather cooperates and was curious about your son's beach suggestions.

Karen,
GulfCoastMom replied in the discussion Power School grad about that. Good comments. We are going to try to be there by 7 am.

Does anyone know what time you can arrive and pass through the security check to the base to attend the graduation?

We are going to Goose Creek for graduation on July 31!!! Can't wait. Our son is going to NY at some point. The date has changed a few times over the last month. We are coming from Massachusetts. We live about 2 hours from the New York facility. Hopefully we will be able to see our son on weekends.

Hello, we are coming from Missouri, want to get there Thursday so we can enjoy the beach for the afternoon, my son has spent alot of time at the beach and his pictures have been beautiful. Then we will hook up with him after he is free from the activities on base in preparation for Friday's graduation!!! Not sure where we will be staying, last time, stayed close to Historic area in Charleston, that was fun, this time looking for just a close stay to the base. If you have some free time, check out Patriots Point, we toured the ships and sub, and our son gave us a tour of where he would be working and what kind of stuff he would be working on. That was a little scary.....there are some big motors on those ships. Be seeing you moms at the graduation with the big smiles :) !!

We are coming from Northern CA and will be staying at the Hampton Inn North Charleston. If the weather holds, we will spend some time at the SC beaches since the North CA beaches while pretty are too sold for swimming.

We are coming from Albuquerque NM and will be there too! Staying at the La Quinta and hoping it's ok.
