Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

so my daughter called while I was at work..so I missed the call :( she left a message saying I needed to email or fax some information, I couldnt really get the fax info so I emailed it ! I just hope I emailed to the right address?? how do I make sure?? would the recruiter know? she said she may call back tonight?? but I havent heard anything and I am going to be at work all day tomorrow but she wouldnt know that cause my hours are different. just woundering i guess??

Don't worry :). If they didn't get it, they'll have her call again. Deep breath :)

jomama - Don't worry, she will call back.  With her rating she needs a thing called a "SBI access".  It's kind of like a security clearance.  It is really a lot better that you don't have all the paperwork readily available.  The reason is she will get to call you again and while you are "searching" for the the info she needs you can ask all types of other fun stuff.

She will have to do a lot of that security paper work.  And you will have all types of government guys in your neighborhood asking questions from your neighbors.

This was a great call for me, I thought my prayers had been answered. I didn't get to hear from my son when he got to boot camp. But they needed more info on his stepsister and sister lucky for me. I received a phone call at work and couldn't believe my son was asking me questions.I asked him a ton of questions, and i then was so happy to hear that he was safe.

So I say thank God for any kind of background check.
