Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

PIR Wed. 11/25/2015

Ship 11 Div. 019 Anyone!  

Coming up from Florida to see my baby girl for PIR.  So excited to see her but have many questions before I can feel comfortable making flight and hotel reservations.  She will be going to A School in San Antonio after PIR anyone got any answers for me.........

Will I be able to have Thanksgiving Day with her off base or any other days?

Will they be doing a Thanksgiving Dinner for Graduates and their families on Base? 

Once they have PIR are they then on their own until they ship out if they don't go the very next day to A School?

If so then does she still need to report and stay on base until she is shipped out to San Antonio?

I just want to be able to spend as much time with my girl before she starts A School and we don't see her for another 96 days.

Hi. My daughter is ship 11 Div 019. We are coming from Louisiana. Did you receive the packet yet from your daughter? We received a packet over the weekend and I read that after graduation my daughter is able to spend the day with us but has to be back at camp for 7 pm. My daughter flies out to Virginia the next day so we will not be able to be with her but I did read we can see her at the airport. Thank you for your reply this has been one of the hardest things letting them go.  Also I don't feel like I get enough information.  My daughter will be going to A School in San Antonio but not aware yet when she will be flying out since it is a Holiday, that seems to be the hardest thing not knowing how long we can stay with her and if they keep her until she flies out or if we can have her with us.  What is your daughters first name and when and if I talk to mine I will ask her if they know each other.

I hope that we can meet up when we all get there.

I know exactly how you feel.  The not knowing how they are doing or feeling is so hard.  Our instincts are to protect them and they are doing this so they can protect us.  :)

I just sent you a friend request and than I will send you her name.  I had to change my screen name because I got something saying that it was in violation of the site because I had my real name up there.

My daughter is in the same ship and division. I have only received the form letter. However I am in another group and they said we have our sailors for thanksgiving day. However the leave for A school could be Fri Sat or Sun. No guarantee and they wont know intil the day before PIR. We just made our arrangements to leave on Friday. We are coming up from northern KY bit we ised to live in Deltona FL.

Do you know if once they graduate and get their orders are they able to still stay on base until they fly out to A School even if it's a few days later?

babygirlsasailor, your new Sailor will stay on the RTC until she flies out. She will have daytime Liberty on the day of PIR and on Thanksgiving Day since she is in the Thanksgiving TG and will most likely fly out on the Friday after PIR.

Check your My Page and join the groups I have given you there.

This is helpful to know that we may get our sailor for Thanksgiving Day, after the Wednesday PIR.  Hooray!  I am making sure the place we stay has cooking facilities so I can at least attempt some of his home made favorite foods.
