Well here we go, onto a BIG adventure. We are doing the USS Nimitz, this is an Aircraft Carrier. I have been working with the CMC the past couple weeks and we have worked the bugs out and now we are ready to go.  This project will take 3-4 months to complete so there is no rush or stress on us to get it all down fast.

This ship will be done by departments, ALL boxes for that department have a contact which I will give you to ship with when needed. As the number come in and the PC's go out you will see the list change and the shipped will be removed to make room for new ones.

Please make sure that you stick to the count and which department you are listed for so that everyone get at pc. ALL boxed MUST have the HAE sticker on them by the address label, You must email ME at mepeller@bellsouth.net or Sue to get the addresses.

week 1- 5/25- 5/30 will start the shipping. We will try and ship every week or every 2 weeks.

Lyn Love andI will be doing all the command, and POC pillowcases and helping with the ship numbers

Ladies, They all look totally AWESOME!!! You did a great job and should be proud of yourselves. Thank you to all of you and God bless You ALL..

Wave #1 is done and Wave #2 starts next week.  If you haven't committed to any pcs for this ship, please prayerfully consider doing some!   This is the 3rd carrier that HAE has tackled and we have learned much from the 1st 2.  We are doing this in a much better and manageable fashion.

here are the pcs that I mailed this week, sorry for the blurriness:

Now this one makes my day!  I response to every one and I'm glad that school is out!  The photos are the pcs that I personally mailed to this department.  Out of 80 sent, I made 1.  I don't make alot anymore, but I sure do mail lots!

Ma’am,

Today, Fathers day our time! we received your packages! What a great gift to receive today! the looks on my Sailors faces when they came to my office to pick out the perfect pillow case was priceless!! Everyone loves them!

I can’t thank you or your team of volunteers enough for the time  and emotions put into making this happen! it’s truly a remarkable thing you all have done!
                                                                                                Thank you again!

P.S, Tell your son thank you for his service, I served onboard the mighty Lincoln just prior to his arrival. She is a good ship!

Hello Daniel!

I am so happy to hear from you!  You really can't believe how happy I am haha.

I can tell by your email that you have received my boxes because you know about Ben and the Lincoln, This is a huge relief to me because I tried the click and ship system for mailing and reaaaallllly messed up my customs form.  I tried to fix it but in the end, decided to pray them to you and trust the Lord.

And He came thru!   Did I doubt it??!!!

And your note is fabulous to know that the sailors love the pillowcases!  I am not a dad, but a mom and it is notes like yours that are a priceless treasure to me and my crew.  I will be doing a HAE update soon and will include your note in it.

Thank you for being our POC for your department!  I know you had alot to give you!

Ma'am,
I am really glad that it worked out and they got here! God always seems to come though in my life as well and this is no different! HAHA.

                                        Thank you again!!

From myself and the Nimitz Air Department!

To Those from Heads at Ease-

My name is ABH3 Ixxxx, from V-1 Division, and I’d  like to extend a big Thank You from the Aircraft Handlers! We received your packages, and they were a huge hit!

Just knowing that someone back home is thinking about us is a great feeling,  and the fun and uniqueness of every pillowcase

breaks the monotony of our everyday lives and really adds some cheer to our berthing. These cases are a  reminder after our long work day that we have friends and

loved ones back home that are worth fighting for, and we send back to you, our thanks and love in return.

We have also included some pictures from around the boat, we hope that you enjoy them and think of us when you see them.

Please don’t hesitate to send a return email with any questions you may have, I will always reply with what information I can give out,

and any more pictures you may want. We look forward to returning to the States and to our homes,

and we thank you all again for the time and effort and love you sent us.

Thanks to all the big hearts from Heads at Ease, and the Manzanita Elementary School!

Sincerely-

Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Handling Petty Officer Third Class Ixxxxxx,

V-1 Division, Air Department, USS NIMITZ
