Looking for others with family or loved ones  Ship 02 Div 904

My Daughter is also ship 02 div 904.  I was surprised to see this on the form letter that I received on Friday.  I can't wait to hear from her to find out exactly what she will be doing!  My guess would be singing, she was in choir in middle school, but nothing since then.

My boyfriend is also in 904 and after seeing all these musical talents I thought, "Why is he in there? He doesn't have any musical talents." But I just found that they are in the Triple Threat division which makes sense because we were the Captains of our local drill team in high school. And they are also performing on two other PIR dates before their own so we can watch the live stream of those and hopefully see them! The link is here: http://navyformoms.com/group/bootcampmoms/page/900-divisions

My son was an explorer with the sheriff's office. at the end of 4 years he was captain of the post and part of the honor/color guard. He wanted to g into law enforcement as both of us have law enforcement backgrounds. An explorer is like the boy scouts but for law enforcement. He also won several pistol competitions  while an explorer.

My son was in choir when in elementary school but he is probably there because he said on the honor guard in explorers

I read that sometimes the 900's divisions are called on to perform in parades and special events in the community around Great Lakes.  It seems likely that since they will be there at Thanksgiving, and there are usually Thanksgiving parades, that they may have the chance to "get out" for a while.  I'm still anxious to know exactly what my daughter will be doing!

PIR 12/05  Ship 02 Div 904 - yes!  My son is in this division. He plays the drums and was in chorus.  Very PROUD, mama!

Hi Polo

I too am very proud. My son was in chorus , plays a little guitar and was a member of his drill team the the explorers. Not sure what he is doing in Div 904 yet. We haven't had a call yet other than the "T'm here "call

Hello FlBroomie,

Same here, the only call I received was the one when he first arrived.  Hopefully your son will call soon, too!

He has contacted his girlfriend recently. She let me know, and gave me a message from him.  It was nice of her, and also great to find out that he has adjusted and is excelling in bc. I just wish I could hear his voice. I have many questions for him;  I can't wait to hear from him and see him soon!   I miss him terribly. I'm extremely proud of him, and all of the recruits!

I sent him letters and most recently, an encouraging (proud) card to him.  I hope (pray) that maybe,  he will at least write a quick note back.  I even gave him a piece of paper and a self addressed stamp envelope for him to use. Simple right?

I've read that they could possibly be helping or performing in other PIR's. So that's an opportunity to catch a glimps on the live fed on Fridays!   How exciting is that!  :)

Yes the two PIR's before theirs I had found the link but I'm not sure where I had posted it. By any chance was the call your son made to his girlfriend just an information call? I only ask because usually when one recruit gets a call that means usually the rest of the division will be calling too and I don't want to miss a call from my sailor. :] So far I've only heard of information phone calls been going out from our division because of how busy they are.

My boyfriend and I both did the drill team for our high school's MCJROTC program for four years and we both actually commanded our platoons at nationals. So I assume my sailor will be doing the drill team (no confirmation yet though) and maybe even commanding because he did place second in the nation at nationals for the commanders cup and he loves it so I know he would at least volunteer for it.

Hoping and praying for a call or letter soon!!

Hello FIBroomie, my son is also with Ship 02, Division 904...PIR on 12/5.  I have been on the Navy Dad's website and just thought to jump out to the moms website and peruse a bit. Should have done it sooner. Congratulations to all of Division 904.  They've completed Battle Stations and are on the homestretch.  Can't wait to see them all at PIR on Friday!  Hopefully many of you will be able to make it to Sarge's Meet-n-Greet on Thursday evening.  Congratulations to all of you moms and also to your SR(s).  Well done!

Hello Hawaiialeo. I am assuming fro your screen name that you are an LEO. If so so is my husband. Can't wait to meet you.

Yes, a proud Leo proud of his SR!  Look forward to meeting you and other parents of Division 904!!!
