Welcome Jen. I'm in Huntsville and haven't really been able to connect with other North Alabama moms. I hope you have better luck in T town!

Hey Jen - since this group doesn't show up in the "latest activity" on the left side of the main page you might also try sending a message to the whole group.  If you look up at the top of this page on the right you'll see "send message to Group".  If you click on that it will send an email to everyone who is in this group.  You might get a response that way.

I wanted to introduce myself to other Navy moms in Alabama. My son Seth arrived at bootcamp this past Tuesday. I went to the local VFW chapter in my town to meet the lady over the auxiliary program to inquire about joining. I figured it would be a great place to volunteer and give back. I want to start a meetup group in my town of Tuscaloosa for Alabama Navy Moms to help support one another.

Hi everyone--After 4 years, I am back here.  My son joined the Reserve!  So happy for him.

So my son just got home for Thanksgiving and told me that one of the OC's in his NROTC unit has a mom on here...just wanting to say hi!

Yes, Chergui53. Auburn is the only NROTC option in Alabama, I believe.

Sorry, no NROTC here. Glenni, where is you child in NROTC? Here in AL? Auburn?
Comment by Glenni on August 19, 2017 at 10:25pm

Any other NROTC moms in here?

ANavyMom, know what you mean. When our son graduated, his first duty station was in P'Cola!!!  At that time, we were living in Denver.  But, I cried all the time. LOL ;)  You'd think he was in the North Pole the way I carried on. But, we all have dedicated children, spouses, siblings, parents. And, we all sacrifice for our wonderful country.  Fair winds and following seas.  HooRah!!!

Thanks chergui53!!  I'm excited and sad all at the same time!!
