John and Yvonne - Hi, we actually spoke a while back in the Eisenhower group.  My son will actually deploy on the Lincoln instead, so I left that group for this one.  His squadron is based in CA and won't deploy until spring.  Thank you for the offer, but he won't have free time in VA.  It's very thoughtful of you to open your home to our sailors.  Merry Christmas

Shacha,

By the way, one of those sailors is also in a squadron...what sq. is your son in?

Hello Shacha!

Welcome to this group. :) I'd like to introduce myself and my husband to you. We are John and Yvonne and for the last 18 years we have  opened our home on the weekends and holidays and invited sailors to come over. We get together on Saturday eves and we feed them and play board games, watch movies, do outdoor activities(weather permitting). On Sundays we sit down to a family meal with homemade bread and dessert.

You can check our page on this site to find out more about us.

We have a couple of sailors who come over who will  also be deploying on the Lincoln. We would love to invite you so over when he gets here.  I can pm you our cell number so he can contact us .

I hope this group is still active!  My AO son will detach soon on the Lincoln then deploy a while after that for many months on his first tour with his squadron.  Hoping this group will keep me informed.  Hello to you all!

We are trying to attend the family day on Lincoln and we don't have much information.  Can someone that is going private message me for questions or knows were to find information.  My son has not been able to get logistic information but we do have tickets.

My son is just finishing up Nuke school and will report to Lincoln early June after some much deserved time off. Question since Lincoln is in for overhaul until late 2016, what do our sailors do? and where do they live? Plus my son says after 2 years Lincoln will be headed to San Diego? Anyone else hearing this also? Thanks in advance, so excited to be part of this group.

Hello ladies!  I am traveling for work and I had someone try to mail a package to my daughter.  Problem is that I put the incorrect zip code on the package.  Could someone please provide me with the zip for the ship?  Thank you all.
