OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

The link for the web cam is in the discussion web threads. I posted on it so it would go to the top of the page.

I also send protein bars, nuts, trail mix, sunflower seeds, jerky and salami sticks. He doesn't have access to a fridge so I can't send anything that needs to be kept cold or can't be eaten at one time. I haven't sent him his meds yet but I have them. They were going to go out in my next box but it's on hold til further notice. I am hoping to go to SD before too long but I have to talk to my sailor and I am one of those moms who hasn't gotten but 2 emails.

I sent some of those meals that you add water, micro and drain. I don't know if he liked them but I sent them. I also sent the Uncle Bens 90 second rice packets, Spam (he actually asked for that) EasyMac packs and ramen along with a 2 cup microwavable container with a screw top lid. I sent peanut butter and crackers and canned cheese. I made him sit down with a list I had and he had to mark everything he wanted and what flavor, scent, etc. so I have an idea what to send him. I also have an EOD sailor that is like a son to me and I made him sit down with the list also. He will deploy before to long and I have to get his stuff to him too!
