Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Curious? Thinking about my SR
I have read the info about the processing days and I am curious as to which day you think my SR is on? He arrived Monday evening, we got the "I'm here" call at midnight. Would he be on day P-3? Of course, it's the mom and nurturing side of me who wonders what his day is like....Eating enough? Sleeping enough? Are the wisdom teeth being pulled out, LOL, etc.
I know, I know.....most of you have been there, done that!

My SR arrived in GL on March 12th, when I talked to him last Saturday he said he was on day 1-5 of training. Hope that helps.

I know it's mind boggling. They are eating enough but probably not sleeping enough! They are awake for hours on end in P days. They get used to it real quick. Ask your sailor to write what training day they are on when you get a phone call or are able to write to him/her. That will help you keep track. We had a calendar but it was not always accurate but gave us an idea on the training schedule.

For our purposes, for a guestimate, say that P-1 started at 0400 the morning after arrival. The wisdom teeth don't come out in P-days. They get a dental exam and x-rays during P-days, but wisdom teeth removal is scheduled for later. See the info in Ship/Division--How it Works on the USS Red Rover and the USS Osborne.
Write to your recruit and ask him to provide the DOT and calendar date and then you will have a better idea,

Make sure to leave a signed and dated note for the FedEx driver to leave "the box" if you are not there. See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC.
