While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Good luck on your journey. Mine is 2 weeks in. He said BC is tough, but he's hanging in there. He got to call home this past weekend, but I know it's a luxury. This group is awesome for support.

I don't know about you, but I am so wide awake! I am so proud of her. It has been a long journey just to get to today! Has your son been living at home, prior to his departure?

I was so sleepy last night that I turned the volume up on my cell and was sleeping with it, LOL! I sat straight up when that phone rang and my heart was pounding so loud. My husband never moved. I woke him up so we could tell our son how proud we are and we love him. I was up for awhile after we hung up reading the link lemonelephant suggested. Yes, he was living at home, going to school and working. It's going to be an adjustment, but a good one! How about your daughter?

It took me forever to fall asleep, then I slept until 9am this morning! Ummm, I never do that. I think I was emotionally exhausted, it took three attempts for my daughter to ship ( she had a little blister on her heel). She shipped from another state, 900 miles from home. We had a lot of scrambling to find her hotels etc. the past two weeks! She made it! All I can say is YAY!
Just about a year ago she moved to the other state for a job, and joined the Navy while living there, that is why she processed from their MEPS. She moved home February 1st and was supposed to ship on 3/17/15. I am used to her being out of the house. Still miss her. A good adjustment, I agree 100%

Welcome Aboard. Your SR has taken the first step on an awesome journey in his life. I know you are so very proud of him. Our Sailor left almost a year ago and is now stationed in Hawaii and loves it! I know you will enjoy PIR. It is a very impressive event.
