I received a call early this morning from my son.  He is in the hospital.  They are still running tests.   The last thing I heard was that the surgeon was coming in to talk to him.  My son sounds okay.  He said even though he was almost done with P week.  He has to redo P week.  He is not real happy about that.  I asked him where his head was and he is ready to get back to boot camp and get it done.  For what it's worth he said the food was good and the worst part is the beginning of P week. At the end of P week they started to calm down a bit.  Just not sure what is going to happen.

Navymom123, My son is DIV. 327.

Glad your son is doing better! that must have been so scary

CeCe I just wanted to check on your son. Hopehully he is out of the hospital and doing well. Was he able to return to his division? My son is still waiting . He is currently on ship 5. Says he has never been so bored in his life. He has been to legal and if disputing his medical discharge.

If he volunteers for extra duties while there he will find that Ship 5 won't be quite as boring. It also helps with making the case that he should stay.

chippers mom,  My son got out of the hospital last Friday.  He called me on Saturday to tell me he was back with his DIV 327 and on light duty this week. He was also supposed to take this week to catch up on what he missed.  I am hoping he gets cleared to get off light duty.  He did say that he wrote me a letter, so hoping to get that this week.  I am just hoping he is okay from here on out and no set backs.  I am sorry your son is looking at a medical discharge.  I am glad he can dispute the discharge. I will pray and keep my fingers crossed that your son gets it worked out.  Hang in there.  I know it is hard when something is going on with your kid, and you aren't there to help.
