CO-TwinSailorsMom.. Thanks for the opportunity to ask questions. My son is still in IT A School and will follow up with C school in Pensacola, as well. Just a couple questions... Is there any typical time gap between A and C? Did anyone in your son's group get to choose their first stop after school? Is there any area that the majority get sent to after school? He's enjoying school so far and tests for 2nd certification this week. A graduation scheduled for last week of June, so lots of time and learning to go. Did your son talk about any specific area or certification that was much harder than the rest? Did you go to graduation or is it not that big of an event? Guess that's it for now. Thanks again...
Anyone know the break period between A and C school?
I hear that the dream sheet comes and goes. Maybe a need of the navy thing, when they have more need the dream sheet comes back.
I invited another IT mom I know who has a sailor daughter to join on here for another perspective from someone she had a sailor go through and out onto IT things.
Hi BoomMom. My son did indicate it is difficult in the sense they are covering so much info in such a short period of time. Several chapters of info and tests each day. He is older and has his college degree (4.0 GPA) -- so getting a B on a test didn't make him happy. ha ha C Schools are all at Corry too (from what I've heard). From what my son has indicated -- dream sheets and being able to pick orders (even if you finish top of the class) are currently a thing of the past. I hope your son likes his stay in Pensacola.
