Linda, just curious if she will be going onto "C" school. The reason I ask is depending on her NEC then you can pretty much tell where she will be going. Example: If you learned to repair 85 foot dishes, then they're not putting you on a ship. Example 2: If your a CTI and your language is Farsi, then they're probably not going to put you in Japan.
As a normal CTT, my bets are.......Hi if single, SD if married......

Hey Dee, Yep it was at Flanagans... This was back in 2007, I think N4M was just getting started and not all that well known. I was on another Navy forum board and we had 15,000 forum views for my sons ship. It was a real fun time. To have 12 families from a group of 75 was quite good back then...

Hey Debbie... I heard about the Navy dads website however I never joined. Navy dads just don't get into the Navy stuff like moms do. Moms are more verbal when it comes to their sailors. They're un-afraid to scream and yell congratulations during the PIR. During my sons PIR we had 12 families from his ship get together the night before the PIR for dinner, and we whooped it up during the PIR to congratulate the new Sailors. We really had a great time.

So, it's not that I need support, but I want to be part of families that want to cheer their sailors on, whether at bootcamp or at their duty stations. This is where I think N4M messed up. It isn't just mom that stand behind their sailors, it's also dads, sisters, brothers, BF, GF, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. I feel we should all stand united for them. But, I also know that some would rather keep the members seperated, which I totally understand too. Thus why I asked if it would be ok to be in this area. If anyone feels that me being here ruins their enjoyment of N4M, please pm me. I will keep your wishes private, and will leave the group.
Here is a pic from the night before PIR get together for my son.

Spacey, Ask away... I can explain almost everything you need to know, I've been helping Deppers and families understand Navy stuff for quite a while. You'll notice that I will usually site the offical instructions on the rules. The only reason I do, is once you know the rules, then you can beat the rules and make them work in your favor.
To all others, thank you for allowing me to be here. I just find it fun to meet other families (expecially from the same bootcamp unit) to joke with and talk Navy. My wife should be along shortly... (Once I can get her to quit playing "Bejeweled")...
