Meghan I am looking into that now my hubby will be there end of april and were looking at a few apartments but we have one son and a puppy so i need a pet friendly place and were already a pretty established family with lots of stuff so we are looking for a decent size. I have found places near dog track and blue angels i think .. are pretty good. Also if you usualy go by the best school districts then look for places in those areas rule of thumb are usualy the best areas. We have moved an average of every 2 years since 2002 :) lol im also a property manager

So my husband found out that his a school is about 5 months long if he can get his detailer to have them attach the orders to his a school orders we can go with that should put us over. He is wondering about c schools he has his choice since he was already submarine qualified he does not want to go back on submarines but wouldnt mind riding htme now and then. We hoping there is a c school long enough in Pensacola that will bring us over the 6 month mark were at 4 months and 3 weeks so far lol. He is to class up in End of April :) Thanks again ladies if anyone has any info for me it would be great! We really dont want to move ourselves so hopefully he will pick the right c school. :)

Hello ladies, my sailor is going to Corry station for CTM A school. He is a fleet returne so most likely he will be a class leader and our situation is a little diffrent... Althought the class length is still the same and I was wondering if anyone knows how long the time is from ATT and A school combined is. Were trying to figure out if they will move our family with him from our current duty station or not. We were moved for his A and C schools for his last rate which was specific to submarines so thats a diffrent world. I feel like were starting all over again now that he has crossrated lol. Thanks

pueo, There is one very good thing about being on hold at Corry. Its called Pensacola Beach. Right now I wish I were there. The weather her in PA is cold and wet. So encourage your son to enjoy the beach for the rest of us.

Although I am not by any means an OCD mom, I know that you can be a big help to your son. When my son was at Corry station, he kept complaining that they couldn't get the sand out of the carpet in their first floor room. A friend of mine (who is definitely OCD) suggested that instead of the vacuum cleaner, I should send him some of those huge lint rollers. You know, the ones that are sticky and you tear off and throw away. Well, I sent him 4 of the biggest ones I could find. They got down on their knees and rolled the carpet instead of vacuuming it. Not only did they pass inspection, but the Chief gave them compliments on the room. Needless to say, I sent them by the box load until he left Pensacola. My other son use to use the small ones on his bed while at BC. Although some one told me they now have banned them. I guess they worked too well.

There are far fewer CTNs than any other CTs. So when they get enough for a class of CTNs they start one.

OH, Terrilynn, the Navy is no place for an OCD mom. There is Navy time, Navy needs, Navy etc. None of them are anything like the civilian world. We're here for you whenever you need us. Just remember the Navy works on "Hurry up and Wait."

TWs Mom, I've got two in the Navy. One has been in since 06 and the other since 07. No, you will never say goodbye to them without crying. I don't think we're suppose to, ever. Its somewhere in the Mom Manual, under Military Moms.
