Hello all! My husband graduates boot camp on 2-6-15! Not long, but not now. I need to pay some of his bills (recently married and haven't combined everything) and I can't because my name isn't on those accounts yet. Is there a way to get a POA while he is in boot camp that way I can take care of the bills and expenses? Any help and advice will be amazing!! Thank you!

I do have all of the information I need, but when I tell them to charge the card the have on file (phone bill) they won't. It's so frustrating!

I'd love to meet you at one of the meet and greets the night before PIR if you're going!!

You can try printing a POA off any good online site, them mail it to him.  He could sign it, and ask the RDC if he can go get it notarized.  Send an envelope so he can send it back.  Worth a shot?

Your husband can talk to his RDC and request to go to legal to have a POA made.  Recruits are allowed to go to legal and have one made that they can then send to you.  The representative at legal can make it up for your husband so you don't need to worry about sending him a POA form. :) Just be sure that when you write to your husband to ask for it you tell your husband exactly what you need it for (ie paying bills) as legal very much prefers not to do general POA's anymore- and may not do them at all for recruits. Basically, the more information your husband knows about why you need it, the better as it will help legal draft the appropriate form.

Thank you so much! Such helpful information!!

Another option may be to tell them that he's away and have them suspend the payment. Lots of places will do this, they just list it as deployment.
