Hello everyone,

I am new to this site and group. I was looking around to join something that could help me cope and where I can find some advice and get some question answered! My fiance left for boot camp 9/1. So far it has been a super hard and long week for me I just can't stop crying. I have read from some people to keep writing notes everyday like a diary. I got a lot of questions because this is all new. I am worried about a lot of things!

How did you guys make the long wait go by faster?

you & i are in the same boat. My boyfriend left 9/2. So painful.. Ive been an emotional wreck. If you would like to connect about this, we can add eachother as friends. Have you received "the box" or Form Letter yet? The PIR date for my SR is 10/31/2014

I have been the same way. I try to look up and say he will be home soon but it has been tough. Sure I would love that! I have not received anything. I don't now the PIR date either or the address to send him letters I have been waiting.

first take a deep breath , and know that you will feel like time is flying starting next week somethings that helped me.
1. don't count days only Sundays.
2. his recruiter can give you his address so you can start mailing him on day 8.
3.keep busy and know he is doing this for you.
4.always stay positive no matter what happens always write to him and tell him not to worry about you and how much you miss him , proud of him etc. they love getting mail.
5.know that your not alone.
6.yes you will be able to get married after PIR.
7.he won't need anything at boot camp so don't worry about sending stuff.
8.he most likely will get to call you once a week until hell week (week5) then you will probably not hear from him for about 2 weeks.
9.write him every day if possible , you will probably get mail Thursday and Saturdays.
10.time flies I promise.

Alright and thank you!

Rule 1: Stop counting days expect Sunday!

I try to keep busy but sometimes it is hard for things to keep my attention.

So far I have wrote a lot of letters to him just can't send them yet...

It feels like it has been an eternity.
