So me and my boyfriend have been dating for almost 2 years. Back in February he officially enlisted in the US Navy. And he wasn't supposed to leave for boot camp until October. He is in the Nuke program and they asked him if he could leave June 9th. It's been a week tomorrow of him being gone, and i'm not going to lie, it's pretty tough not being able to talk to him everyday. I honestly don't know how I made it a week without any communication. I got the box in the mail on Friday, so now all i'm waiting for is the form with all of his information about his division, address, and graduation date.

I guess all i'm seeking is some support from fellow girlfriends/fiance's/spouses. This is all new to me and it's pretty stressful. I've been working a lot to keep me occupied but I find myself overthinking. I miss him so much, and i'm sure he misses me just the same. Any advice is appreciated, and I am so excited to be a member!!

Thanks!!

When did you and your husband get married? In A school or after? Im asking because my fiance just left for boot camp on wednesday morning and i would really like to know what the best time would be to get married. I would really like to just go to the court house when he gets back from basic and do it because i would like to live with him as soon as possible but i dont know how that all works. Please help!!

Hey there! I know these weeks are tough but trust me it will all be worth it in the end :) hang in there and write as many letters as you can! Even if he can't write back as often, I know how much my husband loved recieving letters and small photographs (make sure they're something appropriate, they can get in trouble for nudes and other photos like that). I also wanted to tell you that you should change your photo to something different that doesn't include your boyfriend. For security purposes and to protect his safety, I know the navyformoms website recommends not using a photo of your sailor. Especially if he's in the nuke program he will have a high security job. Other than that, good luck to you and your boyfriend and use this site lots! It helped me get through so much.
