We did it! Our beautiful wedding was last Thursday! Just a small party with immediate family. It was so perfect. Weather was sunny, no clouds, not too hot. Everything went without a hitch and it was the best day of my life. (So far)

I am so excited to start this new chapter of our story together and see what great things the Navy will bring us.

Congratulations!! Welcome to the Navy family :)

Congratulations!

Can I ask you what the process was (as far as paperwork) after your wedding?  My fiance and I are getting married in 2 weeks and I'm having trouble figuring out what to do from there for DEERS/Military ID, etc.  He's currently in A School at Fort Sam Houston.

Hubby was in DEP still and haven't left for RTC so it was pretty simple. He just needed to take our marriage license, my ss and birth certificate to his recruiter. So as far as DEERS I am already on his paperwork. I know it is different if they are already in school but I'm not sure the exact process. Sorry! :(
Amber, your fiance will have to add you to his Page 2. He will need to take all that paperwork MrsHd528 mentioned above. Once you're added, you will have to either go with him to an ID office or on your own (if you go on your own you will need a special form from home, I believe it is a DD-1172), to get your ID.

The DD-1172 has to be signed by the sponsor in most cases, but if she has a POA, some will accept that.

I meant from him, not from home, I was typing on my phone and didn't even realize the error!

Thank you for all the feedback/help!
