good mornign ladies, yesturday i got to talk to my fiancee in bootcamp, he asked to send a calling card, do any of you know which one would be best ?
He needs to talk to his chief immediately. He is locked into that contract, he can't just get out of it without going through the steps. The steps include mandatory study and trying his best. Ff he fails, he'll be re-assigned. Usually they do get a different rate and go to a new A school, they aren't often sent out undesignated. The program is very difficult, they know some will drop academically, and they have a system in place to help those who can't cut it. He just has to tell them he is struggling.
Hello! I have a cousin who is struggling with Nuke A school. He pretty much has just started, but is feeling very overwhelmed. Is there any way for him to transfer to a different job, such as master at arms or something else? What happens if he can't handle Nuke school and essentially flunks out? He would want to get out before that would happen, but he isn't sure what to do and is feeling a little lost so I thought I would come on here and try to get his questions answered!
Thanks!! :)
Alright ladies, I have a question for you all I was wanting to get into the vinyl monogramming business for like car decals and tervis cups and a multitude of other things. I was wondering if anyone would be interested?
If they need the parking pass info, send them a copy. It they're taking a shuttle, they won't need it.
Fairly new to the navy life.. My husband and I got married in July. He has been stationed in Pearl Harbor since April.. I just got here this December. Have yet to meet anyone (other than some people from his ship). Anyone else stationed in Hawaii?
Ryane, my husband is currently in Bahrain, unaccompanied for a year. I am having a very hard time with this...missing him like crazy and the communication and all that. I'm sorry and I feel for you that you didn't get to go. My husband is on IA so I was never supposed to go. If you want, you can send me a message or maybe we could talk sometime. Thinking of you...
Jessica- try not to worry so much. You'll pretty much need your marriage certificate, social security card and birth certificate for the paperwork. But, you won't do any of it, your husband will have to do it (that always killed me lol). Then you'll take a paper they'll give your husband in to get your ID card (with all the forms of ID, plus your drivers license- I think you only need 2 or 3, but i just brought them all). That's about it. You're automatically enrolled into standard insurance, unless you call to opt into prime. And I received a piece of paper with info on metlife for dental insurance (this one you have to set up yourself, but ti's easy). And moving will depend on whether or not you end up on his orders. Even though he hasn't received his orders, yet. There is a chance they've already been cut and you might not be on them. In this case, as long as it's in the US, you can pay for yourself to move (the gov't just won't pay for it). And you'll still get BAH for housing/rent. I've seen it take up to a couple pay periods for BAH to kick in, just a heads up. Life after A school, for us, has been way better. I love being able to actually live together, again. Also, his superiors are a lot more laid back on a regular basis. The underways (when they go out on the ship for trials or work for like 1+ weeks at a time) are kind of crappy, but they're not as bad as a deployment. And absence makes the heart grow fonder. I would just take all your steps, one at a time. We tried to do that, and just look forward to him getting out into the fleet. Good luck. And again, try not to stress. There are so many things you can't control. I started out like you. Now, I just don't really care anymore. lol If they need something from me, I'll give it to them. Otherwise, I stay out of everyone's way and they send my husband home everyday.
