I'm a Navy Wife and I created this group back when I was a girlfriend and my now husband had gone to bootcamp. Its funny because i joined this website when they had under 50 members. This website has been sooooo helpful and I met so many people on here that gave great advice. I made this group so that we could all come together and give eachother advice and share ideas. I see that this group is growing more and more by the day, Im happy to see that because so many wives/fiances/and girlfriends are clueless when it comes the military lifestyle. Not knowing what to expect and not knowing about deployments, bootcamp, duty stations, etc. I want this to be the place you all recommend because so many people on this site are knowledgeable and very helpful. Once again thanks for joining my group and i hope you get all the information you need. I dont get to log on as much as i used to but i try my best to get on here. So if u have any questions feel free to make a discussion topic and Im positive that it will get answered if not, inbox me :-) Take Care ♥

Danielle- underways really stink, but they end. It sucks while my husband is gone, but I love it when he comes home. Just try to stay busy and make sure you're paying attention to whatever channel of communication he'll use. (Mine uses email.) So, I changed the setting on my phone last time he was gone so it would let me know as soon as I got an email. Good luck!

Ryane- when my husband joined last year, we were told that a lot of the overseas places would be unaccompanied (if he ended up at any of them). I am so sorry this is happening to you, though. Maybe someone will be able to chime in with more info. I just wanted to say that I feel for you and you'll be in my prayers.

My husband leaves tomorrow for Bahrain! I was supposed to go with him, but there is a dependent quota and now I'm on a waiting list? Is anyone else in the same boat? I could really use some advice!

I wrote this as a discussion, so I apologize to be redundant but I wanted to try and get my questions out there for any possible feedback (because it is very much needed!)

My husband and I are newly married. He is currently in A School at P-cola and will be done classes in about 7 to 8 weeks. Tomorrow he is submitting our certified marriage certificate to start the process of updating his information so our daughter and I will be now included on his paperwork etc.

However I am so new to this I am scared I am going to be more unprepared than I think. I have read endless articles, websites, etc regarding what to do once you are married as far as forms and so forth. I just feel like reading vs. speaking to someone who went through the same thing first hand is a lot different.

I want to be prepared with the necessities so everything can go smoothly and all aspects completely covered.

I also would love to hear from anyone on life once A school has ended. I have so many questions about the first place we are stationed. Do we go with him right when he is done A school? Do we wait? Etc etc.

If there is anyone that has gone through updating dependents/marital status while husband was in A school or simply just updating to married status, I'd appreciate any help you could offer.

Any and all words are great. You can comment or private message me, etc. What ever works is more than awesome and helpful to me,

Thanks again so much in advance :)
