Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

We'll his paperwork said I was his girlfriend when he joined and now we are married and I obviously have a new last name... Hope it doesn't ruin my chance! I will be so mad. I guess I will take out marriage certificate and hopes that will solve any issues if any come about?

It can be true. There is an overseas screening process, enough debt, you stay stateside.

as far as credit cards, yes it can get him in trouble.. and I would highly suggest thinking hard about moving across country with him. If he is willing to default on a car payment in his own mother's name what would he drag you through and do to your credit? Is he just going to blow all his money instead of paying his part of the bills? And finances is a huge thing in marriage. So for him to not be willing to talk about it would be a red flag for me. What is going to happen down the road when yall need to make a big financial decision? Or he has blown all your guys money on stuff when you need to pay bills? Is he going to throw a hissy fit? or be willing to sit down and talk about what needs to change?

Good afternoon Navy girlfriends, fiancées, and wives! I am a wife...fairly new wife, we have been married a year and a half...he has been in Navy 16 years. He has many deployments under his belt, this is my first dealing with. He is actually on IA...I am having a horrible time missing him. He has been gone a little over two months and I am having one heck of a time adjusting. I wanted to reach out and connect with others that have been through this and just have some way to vent, talk, or make friends.

sja, I have a credit card through NFCU. They will slap him with finance charges, hefty ones, if he doesn't pay on time. They'll cancel the card at some point. Then it goes into collections, he could potentially have his pay garnished, but that is all a civilian matter. However, it does get reported to his command. He'll be counseled, it will certainly affect his evals, which will affect his points for advancement.
Navy Fed does offer free financial counseling and guidance.
We had a sailor overseas who would not pay his credit cards. The chief and div-o were handling him, but he got sent back to the US to face bigamy charges. Ooops.
Perhaps you should tell him that they CAN throw him out of the Navy if he doesn't pay his bills.
