June 23rd!!  Sorry that I havent been very active on this site .. you know how life is. .. seems always busy.  Parents I am going to make a request to you that if there is anyone going to the grad on June 23rd for ET NAV .. to take some pictures for me.  I thought I was able to attend but it seems that my work will not allow the time off. My son will be graduating that day and then reporting to Norfolk VA  by the 27th.

If someone could help me out that would be great!  I feel so bad that I cant attend. thanks

When I met the Senior Chief of the USS Miami (a fast attack Los Angeles Class) he said his favorite was the boomers but I don't remember why.  I am sure no matter what sub they end up on it will be exciting and new for all of them.

Cheri......yeah my son doesn't have a girlfriend either.  As far as I know (I'm learning as I go)  is Fast Attack (deployed up to 9 months), Boomers (up to three months) and special missions (can remember how many months).  But like I said I'm learning, sometimes my son explain things to me and I still uhh?  Oh well getting there.

Jeffsmom1380  Just curious to which subs are the possible ones.  My son still has a way to go but I am still curious what and where the guys are going.  Rose7 I am sure your son will have a good chance since the guys that are married probably don't want long deployments.  My son will probably want long deployments too since he doesn't even have a girlfriend.
Comment by Rose7..Norfolk on June 17, 2011 at 5:38pm son is doing the same job.  My sailor wants to be in a Fast Attack (of course) the ones that are deployed up to 9 months.  I'm happy for him not for me as you understand.  So far we are not going to the graduation but last night my husband said we are going.  Just praying for that.  So far we are been there in every event, not that I don't want to go but (money) let see.  I know what you mean,  two more weeks yay!!!

Rose 7 Groton, My son is doing ET/Nav I think its called.  It does take a long time to finish school.  I am looking forward to his graduation.  His brothers & grandparents are coming too.  There are three subs that are possibilities for him.  He has a friend from our hometown who has been in the Navy for 12 years, right out of high school.  July 4th can't come soon enough to see him!

Yeah...mine has graduated BESS.  Now sounds like some waiting before his next adventure begins!!  Sounds like Groton is getting crowded.
