Happy Belated New Years to you all and welcome to Janet. I have found this group to be very helpful in explaning all that goes on before A school starts. My son completed BESS in Dec and is now doing ATT. Still have no word on when A school will actually begin. Like Pentwater98 I am hoping to visit my son in Groton sometime this spring. Anybody got any ideas about when is the best time weather-wise?
My son graduated 12-16 and just got back 3 days ago to A school from a wonderful X-mas break. I speak to him daly so far and am blessed he still seeks me guidance. I guess real school hasn't started since they are waiitng for more grads. So glad to know there is this special group I can talk to.
I miss my Sailor so much... Weather permitting I think I am going to plan a trip in early March out there... I want to spend some time with my Sailor on his birthday. If it fits his schedule...
well hope you all had a great Christmas and New year, hope you enjoyed your children, husbands, girl friends and boy friends as I mentioned before I didnt get to see my son but I did get to skipe ,is that how it;s spelled?... any way I did see him and he will be coming home for a few weeks when he graduates sometime in April... So. that is what kept me going during the Holidays... that I will see him soon., many blessings to all NAVY families.
Happy New Year all! Our son returned safely to Groton yesterday...I too held it together until he boarded the plane...good thing he couldn't see me crying in the car on the way home! We will be going to A School Graduation on Feb 2 so at least it won't be another 9 months before we see him again this time.
My Sailor is back at Groton safe and sound... Trying hard not to cry and be sad but it is hard...
Well I'm right there with ya'll my son left this morning on his way back to Groton. I feel like a piece of my heart left with him, hope to see him soon. I am so proud of him but, I just can't shake the tears this morning but, I managed to put on the brave face until he walked down that ramp to his plane.
