Isabel, it's okay. My fiance won't be home for Christmas either, and I'm sure his family is disappointed and sad too.

If you two have Skype, you could always set aside some time during your festivities to skype him and have everyone say hello.

My sailor is home!! He and his dad came to my classroom today on the way from the airport. What a lovely treat! My second graders were glad to see the sailor they hear about all of the time.

It's our first time he is away from us for the holidays.

You  know... I dont know..  when I asked him if he would come home for the Holidays  he said that he didnt think so... I think he just wants to save his time  for later time ,  and be able to be with us longer...  Im still hoping he surprises me.

This is such an exciting time!!  I was in Groton to see my son graduation from BESS yesterday.  It was a great ceremony & I loved meeting some of the Moms & grandmoms from N4Ms.

We visited Wednesday evening and most of yesterday and back home we came.  We pick his girlfriend up from our airport on Monday afternoon. We pick him up from our train station in the middle of the night Monday/Tuesday.  On Tuesday night, we drive 16 hours round trip to pick up his brother at USMC Camp Lejeune.  On December 26th, we leave our house at 4am to take my sailor & his girlfriend to the airport to go visit her family.  And on January 1st, the Marine returns to his base.

Very busy, very exciting, very crazy... but all wonderful!!  The Sailor & Marine (step brothers, both age 18), haven't seen each other since early August.
