Hello all!

My hubby is graduating from BESS on this coming Friday. If anyone knows someone graduating, but won;t be able to attend, let me know and I will do my best to get pictures afterward to send to you.

For anyone going who hasn't been to the Groton area before, it's beautiful! You will definitely enjoy it. The Navy Lodge is only minutes away from the base. It is a great place to stay, very clean with big rooms.

MarinaMamma-

They have closets that have a lock on them for all of their personal belongings. The key stays on their dog tags so they have it at all times.

Ladies,

Question: When they are at BESS and A school, is their rack like in Boot so they can lock up laptops and cell phones, or do they have a locker. My son is going to BESS after PIR next wk, and he is unsure about the laptop. I told him y'all had said you can have them there, but he said someone told him no way to lock it. I said there had to be a way.

Rose - Don't have orders yet, so no ship.

So happy for you that you will be able to spend time with him, at home, for more than just a few days!! I KNOW you will enjoy your time with him. :-)

Oh good! That'll be nice that they will both be there. I don't know if IB knows what ship he'll be on yet. Having his brother check with him right now.

i am hoping my son ends up on the USS Minnesota...since we are from Minnesota! That would be awesome. At what point do they find out what sub they will be on? My son graduates from BESS next week , but still has other schooling in groton. He has been in Groton since end of July.....anyone have any thoughts on this?

Rose, is he going to Norfolk? That is where IB is going. He just found out. Don't know the name of the ship.
