janh:  I still can't see your wall and there are no new photos on your FB page.  Might just be my computer at work.  Thank you though for any pictures you took.  Just seeing different boys (even the ones I DON'T know!) makes me proud and happy to be a Navy mom!  I'll check it again when I get home.  Have a safe trip back!!!

Isabel M....my son is currently about 2 days from graduating ATT, when he arrived in Groton in March, everybody that was graduating BESS were taking leave and going home, then the new Chief put a stop to Sailors taking leave after BESS, it just broke my heart because I was unable to attend the graduation and was looking forward to seeing him.  They have to submit a Leave Chit and have it approved before any leave is allowed.

We went to his PIR in Feb, and then went to Groton over the 4th of July weekend, and just fair warning all the moms that have not seen their sons for a while, it is just as hard to say bye again, it does not seem to get any better.

Congratulations to all the Sailors graduating BESS this morning.  Hooyah Navy!

Congratulations to all of the new (almost) Submariners and their parents this morning.  My thoughts are with y'all as my son graduates today.  It is breaking my heart that I can't be there but I am definitely there in spirit.  They've accomplished one more goal on their way to becoming Submariners in the best Navy in the entire world.  Go Navy!!!

Isabel M....Is going to be up to him.  I know that they can go home for what ever time they accumulate.  My son is almost done with A school and he have two weeks.  At first he wasn't sure if he was coming for the entire two weeks or just one and the other to visit a friend.  Now he decide that he is coming home for the two weeks to get done some things.  I hope don't sound mean but is up to him if he want to go or not.  They have to pay their tickets and I think they submit a form and get back something.  After they report to what ever place they have to go.  Good luck!
