i think it gets difficult to keep track of where the guys are once they are out of BESS and into ATT and TCNO because those two classes are self-paced. My son began A school over a month ago and his graduation is (supposedly) on Oct. 6th. Other kids that he began BESS with are in front and behind him graduation-wise. So it makes it really difficult to figure out where they are.

It is very hard to keep up with all of this and the information, so glad we have this site to learn from each other,

Besides it being so hard, the military seems to change things.

My grandson PIR was 5/6 and he is now in BESS and is suppose to be done 7/15 then on to A-school, not sure when that will start be it will be 10 weeks long.  After that liberty (we hope) then back to Groton for 36 weeks of Sonar Tech school.

Raedez,

How long has your son been out of  BC?  At Groton they g0 through BESS training, then ATT, then Techno, before A school.  It depends on your son's rate.  He may go on to another school depending on his track. My son is in Techno school and grad BC 02/18/2011. There is so much to learn.  Good Luck.

My sailor is in yet another school, but not yet in 'A' school. He is in Groton, CT, and that is about all I know.

DH got his orders on Saturday! I'm heading up there on the 7th and we are getting a house in Nautilus Park 2 on the 8th, can't wait to finally be with him again.  Is anybody else in Nautilus Park 2?

I will be in Groton on Friday through Monday visiting my son!  I'm so excited to see him!  Luckily, he has been home several times for the weekend.  Groton is only five hours away!  I hope the Subfest carnival is fun.  Just a point of info, Subfest is on Facebook!

Oh Beckie...It sounds like you are just on one really wild ride.  I hope you get an answer from someone.  You hang in there!!

I can't imagine they would invest all this time and money into someone and not give him every opportunity to pass.  You just keep hanging in there.  I hope someday (soon) you are able to look back at all of this with a little smile on your face.
