would love to have them!  thanks!

Hi Sue!  I have lots so just let me know if you need this time around or the next.  :)

we are good this time, but thank you!  send me an email with how many you have, please.

Sue,
I received this email on Saturday from a sailor on the Nitze.
Mrs. Jodi,

Yesterday I received a pillow case with a  note in it stating that you and other Navy moms make these pillow cases and send them out to us. Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you so much and it is great to know that people back home do care about us out here. I put it on my pillow this morning and will be using it every night. J Thanks again!

Sincerely
Rxxxxx R. Dxxxxx

That's great Jodi!  thanks for making, mailing the pcs and for posting the note!

these are the pillowcases that I mailed to the contractors embedded with the AF.  The kids in my kinder class picked them out and included a Valentine's Day card:

here is an email from the POC:

Hi Sue,

Your box arrived today. I made sure the Adam got his, he liked it that his daughter picked it out. The pillowcases went like hot cakes! Everyone was surprised that they were hand made. One was a pink pillowcase with kitty cats on it. No one was taking that one so I asked one of our big muscle guys if he was man enough to take it and he did, haha. Everyone asked that I pass on a thank you. We work for the air force in support of the 455 wing. I can't tell much more than that as most everything is classified, also why I can't send any pictures. Yes please send another box, I'm sure there is a need for at least another 30. I'll be coming home in 2 weeks but I did talk with Adam and he would be happy to hand them out. He doesn't leave for another month. The address is the same as for me just put his name in place of mine.

I have a friend from Tucson that works at Kandahar Airfield. His name is Jose  I think he leaves next week to come home but you could send some to him in 6 weeks when he returns.

Thank you for all the hard work.

Dave
I mailed another 35 to them yesterday.

And here is the note that I got from the big muscle guy!  It made me cry.

well hello Tucson moms.i have one of your pillow cases.it is so wonderful.the pillow case I have was picked out for me by marisa in mrs.pawloski'sclass.it was made by sue l .it is the pink one with kitty cats on it.i picked it because I have three kitties of my own in corpus Christi .my wife takes care of them while I'm away..i miss them very much.we are not allowed to have any pets here so the gerbels are our pets.they are so easily tamed.a few pieces of cerial flicked their way and they'll jump up in your hand or crawl up your leg to get more.we named one gerbel liberty.she would come out of her rock pile where she had her nest when you called her name.the pillow case is so great because it is so cold here.our huts are made of thin plywood and is always freezing at nite.the pillow cases I have here are of some type of material that gets cold easily.i had to keep both under my sleeping bag to keep them warm or they would get get so cold I couldn't sleep on them without shivering.i came up with the idea of putting some of my tshirts on the pillows instead.now I have one pillow with a tshirt on it and the other is the pink one with kittes on it.and now I sleep so sound without a chilly pillow under my head.we are aircraft mechanics working for the airforce.our planes watch over our troops when they are on patrol or on their base.we have a lot of pride that were saving American lives and helping shorten the war.if only the politicians would do the same.this country isn't worth one drop of American blood.we've seen to many medevac helicopters come in and to many fallen soldier ceremonys here.GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS BOTH STATESIDE AND OVERSEAS.GOD BLESS YOU ALL FOR YOUR KINDNESS,YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.I am a Christian and GOD has watched over me and my friends when we're being rocketed and mortared.Thank you again for thinking about us all here. sincerely   DENNIS

Sue, I could barely read all of that through my tears.  God Bless Dennis and all of his brothers and sisters in arms.  I just want to hug him!

I love that note!  and that he got a pc that I actually made, PRICELESS!

To All the Moms,

I wish to thank you for all of your hard work with the pillowcases.  Each one is really appreciated.   I am part of a medical company that takes care of wounded soldiers and we frequently change out bedclothes.   I am using a pillowcase sown by Cindy S.  It has teddy bears in scrubs.   Quite fitting actually.

Again, thank you for your hard work!
