While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Hi Asia. Does your lease not automatically renew on a month to month basis? If not, maybe there is some way your husband can renew it for you. You could also look into a POA and renew it on his behalf. As far as getting out of the lease early, you will be able to use the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) which enables you to end leases early due to military orders. Once your husband's PCS orders are cut, you should be able to get out of the lease without early termination fees or whatnot.

When my husband joined, we were able to give back a leased car with no repercussions with this law. We didn't want a car payment on a car for 6+ months of boot camp and A school, so we just turned it in. All we needed was his orders to boot camp. As long as the orders are issued after the lease is entered into, you should be fine.

What does your husband say about all this? Maybe the apartment complex could send him the renewal paperwork, he could sign it, and send it back? I always thought that if you didn't give notice that you are planning on moving out, they just assume that you're staying until you say otherwise.

Your husband arrived on the 25th right? Its not likely that he has started classes yet. Typically the first week to week and a half are all briefings, so I would guess that he will start next Thursday and be in class 210 - but definitely ask him to clarify :)

The only problem is my name isn't on the lease and I don't have POA and I think he has to be present for both! I feel like I'm drowning here
