Does anyone know how nice the base housing is?
I've heard different rumors about some being so dirty that you end up getting some of your BAH in your paycheck, and I've heard that there are some that are remodeled are really nice!
I just want a heads up if I'm going to be living in the rough.
Websites with pictures would be nice! I've already seen nsbkingsbayhomes.com

It would also be nice to know about colleges around the area and jobs on base!
The housing isn't too bad at all. I am in one of the newly remodeled 2br apartments and I love it! I have seen the ones that are not remodeled too and they still aren't too bad. I took some pictures that I can show you, but until comcast hooks up our internet, my connection is too slow to upload them right now.

Can you email me those housing pics also??I'm moving down in june and looking at the 3-4bedrooms...my email is hazeleyes08093@yahoo.com

Oh I would love pictures! :) I will be there the beginning of November!
Sounds great! My internet should be hooked up on Wednesday as long as they don't screw it up again, so if everything works out I can send you the pictures then.
Ok thank you :)
Does anyone know how soon my husband show apply for housing? I'm not goin down to kings bay till maybe next aug soooo does he hav to do it now or do we wait??????? And is the base housing furnished or no??????
It is best to fill out an application asap. Just let them know you won't need it until August and they will make sure you are at the top of the list for that time. They might tell you to wait a little while before submitting it, but generally the sooner the better, so just call them. But no, the base housing is not furnished. Only the kitchen is equipped with a stove, fridge, and dishwasher. Everything else you need to supply.

Im thinking of bring my puppy with me, but I would like to know if its allow to have pets in base housing ??

Yes you are allowed to have up to 2 pets in base housing, any size. No exotics. Fish kept in the same tank count as one animal. Animals much be kept up to date on vaccinations, must be spayed or neutered, and must be kept on a leash unless you have a fenced in yard. There are a few breeds that are not allowed, but I don't remember them all off the top of my head.

Thank u very much, im going to feel less alone when my future husband it´s not at home :(

Yeah we have a puppy and that is part of the reason we got her...so my husband wouldn't be so alone until I got down here and now so I won't be so alone when he leaves. I just wish she would grow up a bit and stop being the overly hyper and not potty trained psycho that she is haha...but I love her anyway lol
