OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Check your My Page.

Close... my son leaves 9/19/16. :)

My son leaves on Sept. 29th.

My son also leaves the 19th.

Mine leaves the 20th.

My son leaves September 19th.  Ugh. I'm excited for him but anxious as well.  He isn't the most giving with details and his feelings towards going-finally. He's been training for 10 months!

My son also leaves the 19th, I hope I can hold it together & just enjoy these last days.

I'm trying to as well, although I think I'm driving him nuts :) What state are you from? We're in south west Missouri

PK

We are in Texas.

BigMamaPK, I left info for you on your My Page.

Hi. Thought I'd join in on this conversation, since our boys all leave on the 19th. My son will be coming from Nebraska. He is really looking forward to getting started, but I imagine he's nervous as well. I have become very emotional about him leaving, but I'm also happy for him and this big new adventure.
