At present I am making a weighted blanket.  Never did that before and thought it might help my mom with wrestlers leg.  Supposed to be very comforting and I can see why... that heavy cover is so comforting when getting X-ray at dentist.  :)  It was going pretty good but now it's getting heavy and awkward.  As longs as we continue to learn right?  That will keep us sharp and busy.  (smile)

Hi Darla, I am currently working on a scrappy quilt, its a  Strawberry Shortcake quilt.  I go to  quilting 3x a week at a local senior center.   I like to do different things. I made some placemats for my  son who is in Florida. as well as some  other odds and ends. How about you, what are you working on?

Hello NitaSewBee,

My name is Darla and I also like quilting.

Are you working on anything special right now?

May son's PIR is 6/29.  I was going to make a quilt for Sarge's dinners silent auction.  Is this a good idea or do most people just bring baskets?

Let;s get some discussion going in this group.  Anyone have a good Quilt of Valor pattern to share?

I'm  trying to learn how to put a border onto a quilt that I am making for my son with mitered corners, can someone explain in simple terms how to do it?  I learned a long time ago, but have forgotten because it was too long ago.  Thanks!!!

Would anyone here like to do a quilt square swap. Maybe we could all do something Navy related?

Go to groups and it will pop up the all space. Type in The HeArt of Quilting and it will lead you to the page where you have to leave a message for EM
