I didn't truly mean "getting away" with it when it comes to underage drinking.  But for those kids to think that they can drink and not get caught.  It's good that that they have a way to deal with the problems and hopefully make enough of an impression on the rest of the young ones so that they won't even think about doing it.

Got calls from both twins yesterday!! Joy and dancing!
Sam doing good. Talked about lots of stuff. He can really talk fast. He was celebrating his week. He did really well on his second test. The first one was only 30 points and the second I think he said was almost 200 points, so the second one helped counter the first not so great grade. He knows that this is challenging and he wants to succeed and he will be so proud if he does. He said it is the hardest thing he has ever done. He celebrated by going out to eat, a movie and bowling.

Hey there fellow Nuke People.   I have been away for a few days, but only because Sailor son is home for leave after his 1st deployment, and he wanted to go camping for a few days.   Ahhh  yes,  CAMPING as in sleeping in a tent on an uncomfortable cot almost worse that the foam pad on the ground.  I think it is time to invest in a camper.  We did catch 12 trout though, and had some great quality time.   He will be heading back to VA on Sunday.    Oh and I see we are only 12 away from 2100 members,  I have sun catchers  ready for prizes.  I will give some info for our newbies in another post.

They are not getting away with it,  Sam said underage drinking, and even less offenses gets you Captains Mast.  They get humiliated in front of everyone by the Captain and then they are put on labor like head cleaning, gross jobs for A LONG TIME then they probably get sent home or serve 6 years at something other than Nuke. Aviation School in Pensacola had a big issue also with this, IT's at Corry not so much.  But it seemed that most of the time everyone would get put back to phase 1 for liberty. Sam said it is taken more seriously here.

I don't understand the whole drinking thing too. The whole time the Nukes are in DEP, they are told not to get in any kind of trouble or they could get dropped. Why would they think that now that they are in the Navy they can get away with it? It worries me for sure.

NF Mom...that is even more hilarious being that we are from NEVADA. LOL

Sam called!! he had a not so good grade on his first test. He said they had a second test and the two ended up graded together so the combined grade was good as he did really well on the second.  He said it was a wake up call for him though to be on his toes and study harder harder. The smiley is a happy nuke Sam. He said there is ALOT of kids getting in trouble for Drinking, and other things. I fail to see why a kid would do this putting all on the line for what?
