While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

But my man/boy will be home for Easter with his younger Sailor brother and we couldn't be happier.

Even though we are from different parts of the country, different nationalities, different ages, different life experiences, this bond with our children is huge. We really are all in the same boat that is : Daughter or Son, we love our kids, and want the best for them.....All this talk of Mother's Love reminds me I need to get busy on my design of MOTHER'S LOVE 2013 sun catcher.

Comment by Sunshine66 on March 26, 2013 at 9:22pm: I don't have a rocking chair at the moment but I love my porch swing! Unfortunately my son was in BC jan-mar, too cold to swing. I'm trying hard to not worry as much and let him make and learn from his mistakes (not that he's ever listened to me anyway!) but it's much easier said than done for me. I agree with Johanna. I don't want him to think I don't have faith in him and I want to keep a close relationship. This is my first born so I'm still learning!

Comment by Johanna on March 26, 2013 at 9:14pm: One more thing. They love us unconditionally. We are their first love, and because they love us so much, we need to feel safe enough to let them go. Boys love their Moms, and you will be amazed at how a little space will bring you closer together.
