Nope, graduation (at least for the S8G plant) is November 29...not the 30th of the 23rd...but the 29th.
My guess is Dec 4th! Thank you for donating the sun catcher!!
William, my son also says grad is Nov. 29.
Well I know this seems wacky and we have rehashed the topic enough times but my son called yesterday and says the prototype graduation is now November the 29th and he comes home on the 30th.
Maybe we should start a pool to guess the actual date Lol.
1proudnavymom: quite alright! thank you for letting me know! he will make other arrangements.
Most contracts state that they get 1/3 of their enlistment bonus upon graduation from Power School. The rest upon graduation from Prototype. However, if they don't graduate prototype for whatever reason, they will have to pay the first 1/3 back. Aaron's old roommate failed the final board twice, so his paycheck is being docked about 400 a month until his bonus is paid back.
I have heard of a few contracts that supposedly say different. Tell your sailor to very carefully read his contract and it will state it in there. Most times though it's E4 upon completion of A school, 1/3 of enlistment bonus upon graduation of Power School, and the rest after prototype.
Just be sure if you send a box, make sure it is ENTIRELY securely taped. I sent a box to my son and he just received it.... nothing in it was his stuff! Apparently his box and a few other boxes opened and he got a bunch of old VHS tapes, DVD's and books that was not his. He was sooo looking forward to having his personal belongings.... he was crushed....
Thanks NancyJo
Sure is, karens! You will make him one happy sailor!
