Mary, your anchor wreath is awesome!!!!!

Comment by Binker & Bro: 2X Nuke Mom on December 5, 2011 at 6:41pm

mary, I used to have a pig wand that I used to wave over such things and remove the calories. I am sure it worked, although, I did have a gastric bypass 7 years ago so I may have miscalculated the effects of the piggie magic!

I am feeling the need to bake cookies! Oh wait! Last time husband was here, he broke the temp control off the oven. I have a huge industrial oven that I cannot use! Perhaps I shall have to make Granny Bramer's Potato Candy. Then I suspect that I shall need to make a wreath--if of course, I can find the Christmas supplies!

Sometimes I think we are all clones of each other.

I always try expect the best and prepare for the worst.  Drove my ex-husband nuts sometimes.  I was always saying It'll be alright and he would say You don't know that. That's not realistic.  I believe I get farther thinking positive than he does expecting the worst.

I just went to a class last week titled "Everyone is Psychic" telling us how to be more intuitive.  I told the teacher I have none of that skill.  He looked at me and said you have a gentle energy but it is strong.  Say what?  Turns out he is a psychic.  Who knew? Not me! I wonder if he knew I would be there?  LOL

oh Suebal-- I am not being negative about your positive thoughts at all! OH please believe me, I'm just having one of those days--they happen alot these days! I have a hard time finding positive in my life these days so I am serious about sending that positive energy my way. Plus, my life is like an unbelievable soap opera--one of my colleagues at work told me that if my life were made into a movie, no one would ever believe it is true because the stuff that happens in my life--good, bad, comical and absurd--could not all happen to the same person! And I'm talking about everything from a 7 year household separation because of the lying company my husband worked for to being recruited to join a doomsday cult in the woods of West Virginia right before 2000 to getting $50K to start an Honor Flight hub after 5 minutes. I am seldom serious and mostly frivolous. But some days the absurdity of my life gets to be too much--especially when I have lost my antidepressants (and I am missing my boy too much). So please do not take offense. I was not and would never be critical. Send some of that positive stuff my way. I need it. Seriously! (then I can write that silly holiday letter!) Remember, we are a family. You are the positive thinker. I am the flake!

hugs

kathy--every time I tried to get widowmaker info out of my boy, he just said they are all widowmakers! They do all superstitiously grow mustaches before one of the tests to scare it out of the water. Bink couldnt grow a mustache if he wanted and LadyLove doesnt have the genetic makeup--so I found clearance wax mustaches at the grocery (flavored grape, I might add) and got a bag of them for Bink to take back to BS in case the roommate bunch needed to scare anything.

Oh yes, and for those who have asked, The roommate bunch are getting along pretty well. They say that they try to stay busy because if they sit in the house and think too long, they start beating themselves up again remembering Jacob. Their landlord did lower the rent so they did not have to absorb Jacob's part. They dont want another roommate to take his place. Bink says they arent making life easy for them (like they told me they would) but I know the powers that be are watching over them carefully to keep any chance of dropping out occurring. Hard to believe it has already been a month. Bink and LL both said the funeral was very surreal.

Does anyone know how I can go about purchasing a gift card for my son's use at the NEX? Or is that even possible?

Binker's Mom - Yes, I'm a big believer in the power of positivity. My belief is that if too much energy/focus is put on negative, that's what will "become"...I try very hard to be positive in all aspects of MY life. I try to focus on positive for others too--my son, my ex-husband, and the other Moms here. Maybe I just shouldn't talk about THAT particular aspect here...I just kinda figured since so many other people talk about prayer (big believer there too) that maybe I could throw my two-cents in. No, I'm not making light of ANYTHING...just trying to be positive.

Question to all the Nuke moms out there. . .  What exactly is the "widow maker" exam all about?  Is it a comprehensive exam or just very specific information.  My son has been a bit too busy (I assume) to call lately and I get occasional texts from him.  This week is a two test week with one being the "widow maker" exam.  Just curious. I have to assume he is taking care of things.  Sure he is.  Thanks!

hey while all you good positive thinkers out there are at it, will you wish me up a job. I so dread having to go back to KY and leave my Katie when Jan hits and my FMLA leave is up. You would think someone around here would have a use for someone as waky as I am! Still waiting to hear what is going to happen with Binker for the holidays but I know if they have any time off, he will head to Colorado with LadyLove. I know it is selfish to hope they have less time off so I can have him. I need to find my antidepressants. They got lost in the last trip to KY last week. Sick days ran out so now I have to earn my keep by cleaning this house. Cannot say to the husband, "I might be laying around resting, but I am still getting paid" anymore! Now if I can just figure out how to clean, since his method is "shove it in a corner, suitcase, closet, box, cabinet, etc, etc" and I am cleaning all those out--which means every hall and room is full of the junk coming out of the closets!

Dor--I might actually send out Christmas cards this year for the first time in 20 years. I have a stack since I have bought them for the last 20 years. Question is: can I find them? And as for the letter--I am thinking I might just right the ridiculous, you really don't expect us to believe this is true, but it really is letter. I think it will be much more entertaining!

And have I mentioned the flabby cleavage skin I just glanced down and witnessed, much to my horror! (note, next year's halloween costume: giant cleavage from hell) So if you positive thinkers could tighten it up and wish me up a holiday face lift too, I would be most grateful!

Back to cleaning. Hugs to all.
