Hang in there, Debbie.  Thoughts and prayers for you and your sailor.  As long as he knows you are behind him and love him no matter what, he'll be OK.

Comment by Mama C (PS E-Class 1202-1) on December 5, 2011 at 11:23am

Haven't been on here much.  Well, actually I've been "stalking" just not posting.  My mind is so full of stuff that I just don't have the energy sometimes to write something here.

Debbie ~ Prayers are on their way for your sailor.  Keep encouraging him - let him know there are many people (N4M's) praying for him.  Keep encouraging him to ask for help.  We're here for you - after all, we're one big Navy Family and when one struggles so do the rest of us.

Love, Love, Love the Santa Visit!  It's all over FB too!

Have a blessed day, ladies!

debbie--got you in my heart and my thoughts. He will be fine. He just needs to settle in more and get his sea legs!

Debbie - definitely prayers coming!

My sailor starts his classes today. He's very excited (he's weird that way--still). I keep reading about all these tests and oral exams and many hours of studying and get myself completely stressed about it. I try not to think about it--yeah, good luck with that--as Cam is very dedicated and motivated and determined to excel! He's one of those that once he puts his mind to something he just does it (gotta love that!). Trying to book his travel home for Christmas, but he has to find out if he's allowed to leave school at 4:00 in the morning to catch a 6:00 am flight (the school goes on standdown the evening before, but want to make sure there won't be any problems). He said he'll have that info today. CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY HANDS ON HIM! :)

The 'visit from Santa" is one of the BEST things ever! I've shared it with so many people and every time I read it I cry.

Dor--I have to say that you are one of the strongest women I've ever "known." You are a hero of mine!

LADIES -- HERE'S TO EVERYONE HAVING A MOST EXCELLENT DAY AND WEEK!

Comment by mommajo on December 4, 2011 at 11:53pm

NancyJo~prototype starts the 19th for mine.  I will head to GC the 11,12,13 for a Christmas visit  :)  So very excited!!

The Santa visit brought tears to my eyes and also a ton of pride in my heart.  These young men and women have given up so much.  Yet, I know my sailor has received so much in return.  He is a family loving guy so Christmas will be hard.  But, he does know the big picture.

Hugs to all us Moms (and GF and wives and Dads).

very cute, I sent the link to my DIL,,,, I haven't even agreed to acknowledge Christmas around our house yet  :-) (know that I will get around to it eventually)

Mary and Dor, Christmas crafts kinda scare me ... have always wanted to do a doorway with those fruit garlands, with the pineapple and apples, but besides costing a bazillion bucks for produce, I'm a little afraid the pineapple would fall off and bonk somebody!

Regarding the Meet & Greets. If the average graduating group has 800 Sailors and only 40 families show up, you are doing great. Most parents do not know about N4Ms or the Meet & Greet(s) unless they are on this site. I feel blessed that we had close to 100 show up at ours on 4/1/11 at the Ramada Inn and our class only had 503 graduate! Many great friends from BC are in my life now! Find one with your Division and go to this if at all possible, it will change your future!

I was reading it to my 22 year old daughter and couldn't get through it without crying :(
