Emily..sorry...I know about no communication...more than a few words at a time, glad you are having fun in Missouri though!!!!

Binkers mom...thanks!  I'm thinking things will be ok for him too!  Will let you know.

I mean, we manage a few texts everyday. But it's "Goodmorning" "Morning" "How was your night at work?" "Meh. How are you?" "Not good I take it? I'm good... insert update on my life here... You can sleep now babe. I love you" Yup. That's been our conversation since he started working mids. hahaha.

Oh well, we'll get through it. Just makes it a lil more difficult. And definitely makes the days he does get off more appreciated. :)

Kat- I don't think they do... I think 2 bedroom is smallest. Which would make sense if they were old base housing since they give married couples a room for them plus one for everykid and one extra.

Wow, Emily.  We just Skype with our son (in power school now) about once a week.  I'm thinking even that might not be as often once prototype starts.  :(

Sherri

Binker's best bud from BC ended up washing out of Nuke during A school. He just got to Japan after retraining and he is as happy as a bug in a rug. Just keep a stiff upper lip and keep encouraging him. Everything will wash out for the best. Allen was so stressed while he was struggling in Nuke. I know your son will have the best with whichever path he travels!

As for Binker and LadyLove, my only fear is since momma was a Nuke in the hole, will the future grandkids glow? Of course, I refuse to be old enough to be a grandmother! Binker is a very tall, very intelligent, very handsome 3 year old sailor. He has to be. I was 27 when he was born and I am ONLY 30!

A question:  Does anyone know if the Villas has a one bedroom unit?

Emily, Glad you are having fun!  Sorry about your lack of communication. I am officially getting worried about Prototype.
Comment by Emily-aaronsgirl11 on July 9, 2011 at 9:00pm

Wow. That storm must be intense. Hoping everything is okay down there...

I officially haven't had a real conversation in... 4 days. This SUCKS. Officially read for Prototype to be over. Even if it does mean deployment. Sorry, just had to have my vent moment.

On better news, I'm here in Missouri enjoying every moment with my sister and her family. And I got to have lunch with bobbysproudmom!

Hugs to everyone, sherri! Such a tough situation. Wishing him the best!!

Thanks all!  I've been trying to encourage him and told him those exact things. I believe his SLPO has spoke with him as well.  From what he told me, he will be given oral exams.  Said they could keep him a Nuke and restart him in Power--they discussed his limited amount of math, and I really feel that is the major factor here.  he was told he could possibly be reassigned, and I've told him about other guys I've read about being reassigned and being a whole lot happier!  His GF is really helping here too...she told him he had to do the best he could, that it didn't matter to us if he was a nuke or something else, but that the Navy is so important to their futures!  She just talked to him and said he sounded much more calm now and not as upset.  OH, he mentioned there is power at BQE now as well.  He's more confident about his review now on Monday I guess, she told him that she'd go where ever they stationed him, so he didn't have to worry about that. I think that really helped.

As for me not being on here much lately, well, with all the vacations at work, and then school...I had my first chapter of my thesis do a week ago, plus had a project for my class and a paper for my class...that class just ended this week, and my next chapter isn't due for a month!!  Our next two weeks are library research ---which is what chapter two is....so a few weeks kind of a breather..just can work on thesis!

Yes I spoke to my son about an hour and a half ago and he said there was a lightning strike and electricity was out at the BEQ.  He was over one of the married classmate's house, I guess they have power Lol.
