Emily, the necklace is a knockout. What a romantic birthday present!

Dana, you're right about wireless ... I must have been having a duh moment ... we have a wireless printer at home and for some reason I was thinking it was running off the wireless router. I guess there is a reason I'M not in the nuke program! It's a wonder I'm not still using a corded black rotary dial telephone!!!

Mary- I had to share that with Aaron. My mom got a set of hair clippers for dogs for her birthday... She wasn't very thrilled. haha

Darla, and all the others headed to SC this weekend- Have a great trip!!! :)

Wireless printers are not the same as wireless phones. Wireless printers will work in his room. They only have to connect from his computer to the printer, and the printer can be most anywhere in his room. Ours serves our entire house. Any room any computer or laptop.

That is beautiful Emily.  You are a lucky girl.

What a thoughtful guy too.

RE: printers ... is anyone's sailor using  and liking a wireless printer? Apparently wireless is not too reliable in the rooms, so I'm wondering if my son ought to go w/ a plug-in printer. William pointed out a GREAT deal (thanks William!)  on a wireless 3-in-1 at Office Depot, but before I urge my son to buy, just wondering if he'll be able to use it while in Power School, or if he'll have to store it until Prototype, when he gets an off-base apartment.

We in NE must have dodged a bullet.  No snow here and the foot of snow on the ground is mostly gone.  Yee-haw!  Still not as nice as my sailor in SC has!

For years around here in Northern IN, we would get a "january thaw" about the 3 week or so of January.  I took the liberty of marking it often on my calendar because my sailor was born in November '88 and the 23 of January '89 we were on our first stroller walk. It was 60 degrees.  My second son was also born in November 4 years later and on Jan 25 of '93 the temps was 56.  So we were out for a stroller walk again!

I think the reprieve we all got last week was the good Lord's way of telling us that spring is coming. A teaser, if you will. letting us know that hope "Springs" eternal, and " never underestimate the power of the ultimate weather master!"

Mrs. Andy and MN Linda - don't know about you two, but I am getting tired of record snow fall here!!  I am in Oakdale, and we got about 18".  I can't believe that people in the cities STILL can't drive in it - took me an hour to get to work this morning, usually takes about 20 minutes.  I think a trip to GC would be refreshing!
