The weather bureau is telling us where I am at in MI. that we are to get about a foot of the wonderful white stuff. I am not looking forward to that at all. The kids will be happy because we live in a rural area and the buses will not be able to get down the roads. Korey drives, so Kacy and another friend they pick up don't ride the bus. I am sure we will get the phone call tomorrow night to cancel school on Wednesday and more than likely Thursday too. Our roads don't get plowed right away. We received 5-6 inches by Saturday morning as I write this the snow plow truck just went by. We are plowed right away. Will let you know how things change.......

Dora, it seems you just can't catch a break, so yes Church should help feed the spirit, I know it sure does with me.

Ok I know this questions has been asked before, but wanted to ask it here...what is the guide lines by with the Navy uses to figure out what Rating they will have i.e. MM, ET etc.?  My husband it is during the A School portion of the school that they rank them by grades and then make their recommendations to the Navy and that is how they choose?  Is this correct?

Comment by Michimom (MM Nuke Mom) on January 31, 2011 at 8:49am
They're predicting anywhere from 8 inches to maybe a foot of snow for us-and so far, we've been pretty lucky, getting just 1-4 inches of snow at a time.  Brrr.

Any one with Nukes graduating from Boot Camp 02/11/2011 ???

My understanding is divisions 64 through 74 and 804 & 912 graduate

on February 11th, 2011.

My son, div 65,  is heading to ET school at Goose Creek on Saturday Morning

or so he is informed.

Anyone else have a son/daughter heading to ET after 2/11/2011 graduation.

Comment by Dodie on January 31, 2011 at 5:59am
Texasmom, The # of nukes in a div is pretty random with exception of some of the 900 divs. My son said there were about 30 nukes in his 900 div that PIR'd 12/3/10. His 900 div was rifle guard & staff support, so they were looking for recruits w/high asvab scores & passing PFA scores.

Later shippers will get a chance to visit Chicago on the weekend :)

Early shipper will miss most of Liberty, but will have more chance to explore Goose Creek before class starts, so I guess it all works out in the end :)

I just read somewhere they ship out in Division Number order, makes since that 63 would ship out before 71, I guess.

From what I have read there is a good chance all ETs graduating boot on 02/11/2011  will end up in the same A school class and section..

Hi NF Mom- My son is grad on 2/11 but like William's will be leaving on Tues.  He will be an ET also.  Maybe they will be in the same classes.  According to the PIR group they leave by division.
Comment by William in Nashua on January 31, 2011 at 2:40am
My son is also graduating from boot camp on 2/11/2011 and is also an ET but I believe he will be flying out on Tuesday, 2/16.
