B'sNukeMom - Ditto, sorry to hear about your husband's foot. Prayers for continued healing! Glad to have you back.

Regarding the Non-Nuke EM's, I know Phoenixmom is trying to stir up some interest in that rate and get a group going, so BZ Recruit Mom, your husband may have seen that information regarding them staying in GL.  Also, if your son is in a 900 division, you may be able to see him in the PIR the week before on the live stream, depending on what he is doing. Otherwise, you can sit in his section that he is overseeing at PIR and briefly chat as 3B'smom said.

For other new moms still waiting on PIR, I highly recommend watching the live stream (or at least the reply) of the week or so before your PIR. It really helped me get a sense of what was going to happen. I saw the Hall and how things were laid out, so I had a little better expectation. Which is always helpful to me.- You can ffwd through recording.

B'sNukeMom - so sorry your husbands foot got infected.  That is never fun but especially not fun when you're supposed to be on vacation.  So glad I got to meet him and your son - you're super tall men.

Congratulations to those of you with sailors graduation boot camp soon.

BZ Recruit Mom - all Nukes go to GC. Non-nuke EM's stay in GL. Since he is in a 900 division you may be able to chat with him for a brief moment before things start. Enjoy your visit!

Hi All!  My son got his rate - EM.  Since he is a Nuke, he does his A school at GC?  My husband found info that EM' s stay at GL.  He is in Div 942 and performs tomorrow.  Can't wait to try and find him;)

Hi everyone - I'm back!  Trying to play catch up on your posts and catch up on everything here at work!  We had a wonderful visit with my dad - he was so surprised when we pulled up - he cried.  He just kept saying he couldn't believe we were there!  Made me so happy to see him and celebrate his 80th birthday with him.  And it was wonderful to meet with ProudofK and another Navy mom (who hopefully will join us).  Awesome getting to speak with General Mattis too.

The only downside was if you remember my husband fell off a ladder before we left - well there was a cut on his foot and shin and it ended up getting infected (really bad).  So he was in pretty bad shape while we were gone but finally Monday I was able to get the doctor to phone in a prescription to WA for us and we got him started on antibiotics.  Then when we got home yesterday we got him in to the doctor and they gave him a shot of antibiotics and another prescription - so 3 different antibiotics - and hopefully they clear up this mess.  They also took a culture to make sure it's not something more serious.  This hasn't been a fun week for him :(
