Just had a goodbye for 6 months phone call :(

Deployments suck.

NancyJo - I just realized this means you won't be making visits to San Diego - wahhhhh!  And that means we won't be meeting up anymore - wahhhh

I'm just going to sit here and throw a small tantrum.  Don't mind me!

Chipmunk - You always have a busy family!

B'sNikeMom - Thanks so much for the positive words of encouragement.

JayDee659 - The snow looks marvelous!

Colorado got just a hint on snow on Sunday. The biggest flakes I have ever seen though I think. Today like summer. Most of the state is having a pretty worrisome drought.

There is a brewery making a Red draft in honor of the snowboarder from here who won Gold at the olympics. Red  (is it?) Gerard?

Had to laugh at the dog nudity comment.

PattiP, those toll people are tenacious! I hope he gets that ironed out. I love dolphins. I wonder how often our nukes get out there to see those kinds of things. I know my sailor doesn't like to go on deck.

B'sNuke, wilting is the only word. Head down, ears back, tail between her legs, practically dragging herself toward the door. Poor girl. She looks up at us and it's like I can hear her say "WHY?!?!" Sad and hilarious at the same time.

I don't know how Nebraska missed the snow. We always get hit if it's out there. Lucky for a change. My DIL only has about 2 months before setting up house in SC and she's already missing the weather is SoCal. I try to tell her SC is still a lot warmer than NE but went you are coming from San Diego I guess she's worried.

The letters during deployment only goes for nukes who end up on a sub. Carriers get mail drops.

NancyJo - I'm laughing picturing your dog wilting with embarrassment over the sweater :-)

Comment by JayDee659 on March 21, 2018 at 1:38pm

NancyJo, I have to say that I'm not much for dog sweaters either so I don't blame your dog.  We had a boxer who was losing her fur and she wore a sweater to cover her nudity.  Other than that our dogs have had to rely on their fur!
