NancyJo - In my part of Texas, we rarely get a proper winter so I often look forward to the prospect.  Summer?  That's another story.  8 or 9 months of Summer it seems!  :)

NancyJo - congrats to your entire family. Wonderful picture of the grandkids!!

I personally will not complain about any hot days we might get here in SW Michigan as they are coming to an end and I am one of the weird ones that like hot sunny days. Hoping everyone is having a great week!

Here's my new little Isla held by her big bro Simon. I think he's kind of happy she's here!

Hi all - Happy Tuesday!

Going to be a warm day here in sunny SoCal but we are in for cooler weather later in the week - maybe, just maybe fall is coming!

Welcome back NancyJo!  So exciting that you made it for the arrival of the new little!  Can't wait to see pictures. Glad they are all doing well ;-D  (And on a side note, N got a part-time job at the running store in downtown Lincoln!)

JayDee - careful what you wish for lol!  I heard this is going to be another brutally cold winter out your way.....

PacNWMom - check in and let us know how you are doing!

It was 98 when I left work yesterday.  Hello Fall.  You still feel like Summer.  In Texas.

Comment by NancyJo (NNPTC) on September 24, 2019 at 9:03am

I hate the heat. Summer is my least favorite season. Here in NE it's mid to upper 80's this week. But not dry. More flooding and they are fighting to keep the interstate open. Pacific Junction IA has been underwater since March. Very discouraging.

Meanwhile my nuke's new daughter is born. I was there in time and my DIL was in labor 3 hrs from start to finish. So great! Now my son is off work until September 30. So nice to have him at home during those early days. But things at the training center seem to be back to normal post-hurricane, just without him.

We're in the 90's too :(.  I heard on the news that this has been the hottest and driest September on record.  They also said that they expect to break the "last day in the 90's" record in October, which is super late.  All my beautiful fall sweaters are sitting lonely in the drawer just waiting for me to put them on.  Come on fall!

Comment by thesuperm72 on September 24, 2019 at 12:43am

Thanks for the welcome and info! Wow! Keep running your AC Texas moms! I'm out in inland Northern Cali , but headed to coast tomorrow so should be nice and cool. I even brought a jacket and beanie for the foggy days. Was in low 90s today, so I can't wait to leave! Hang in there and happy Fall!

Comment by helena2000 on September 23, 2019 at 8:12pm

I'm in north Texas and it's about the time I get tired of the heat, but know it will be another several weeks of it. Even the 90's seem so hot by the end of the summer. At least it cools off sometime in October, my favorite month!
