While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

He seemed happy so far, and they were cleaning the bathroom. He told me he would call Monday with his address. I have to mail him his phone and his guitar, for now.

My son was in A school fall of 2017. I think they had just come back from their "hurrication" about now. But this should give you an idea of what their schedule is like.

By the time your son arrived yesterday, he was probably trying to figure out his BEQ, what things he needed to purchase from the NEX, such as laundry soap, etc. And then just getting oriented. Hopefully, he can figure out a way to get ahold of you today. Monday he will either be classing up and starting "protocol, life skills training" and then lessons or he will be INDOC where he will be doing some of those similar how to navigate Navy life and how do behave, but also will be assigned some sort of task to do at NNPTC, until there are enough sailors of his rate to form a new class for instruction.

Class / instruction time generally runs 0800 - 1630 and they may have PT, they have to eat and then they go study. But I am sure he will be doing his best to get ahold of you.

MMs & EMs rank are Firemen so they are addressed FN

ETs rank are Seamen so they are addressed SN

This is how the mailing address is posted on the Nuke School FAQ group:

Boxes, Packages and letters can be sent through Snail Mail ( US Postal Service ),
FedEX ( Federal Express ) and UPS ( United Parcel Service )
Using the below in processing address as the class number.

For those going to MM and EM Nuke A-Schools

FN Last, First MI ( note: FN or Fireman is used for MMs and EMs )

For those going to ET Nuke A-School

SN Last, First MI ( note: SN or Seaman is used for ETs )

(Class # will change to reflect current info as he progresses through the pipeline at NNPTC)
USPS, FedEx, and UPS all make daily deliveries on base during the week, so if you can send a package by those means, the student can receive it through the base mailing system.
Note – having items arrive before the student may have unpredictable results
