PacNWmom, as a person who struggles daily with depression. I just want to quote Jared Padalecki "Never give up, Keep fighting". That has become my personal moto. Please reach out to your fellow Sea sisters when you feel like this.

BsNuke, Thank you SOOOO much for posting that! I've been going through a seriously rough time. I don't want to end things that way, but I've been seriously contemplating it for the last couple of days. Your post may very well have saved my life.

Hi all - Happy Tuesday!

B'sNukeMom - Thank you so much! It means a lot to me to have Moms willing to help. I live in PA. A loooooooong way from San Diego so it's nice to know that there are people close who  can help if need be.

Canuka - Thank you so much. As I said I appreciate that those who are close can help if needed. He is doing well and figuring things out on his own. But as a Mom, I'm sure you understand, it's hard for me not to be able to be available if he needs something. So having other Navy Mom's volunteering to help means so much to me. Thank you!

Hi all - Happy Monday!

NNLori - I'm not far from San Diego - about 1 1/2 hours.  If your son ever needs anything please let me know!  Hubby and I love visiting San Diego - we can take your son to the zoo if he wants to go or show him around Balboa Park or Coronado.  Just say the word and we'll be happy to oblige ;-D And yes, San Diego is an expensive area - but it sure is beautiful!

Chipmunk - sounds like the baby shower was a success.  Can't wait to see some pictures!

Leave time after schools often varies - when B finished A school he had almost 2 weeks off.  We were there for the graduation, spent a few days with him and then a group of them headed to Florida for some fun in the sun.  You just never know what it will be until almost the time it happens!

Just wanted to pop in and say Hi! It's been a long while since I've been here! My son graduated Prototype on 6/21. He couldn't come home until 7/11 but then we had him for month which was awesome!! He made the journey out to California to check in at his first duty station, the Theodore Roosevelt. He has only  been there a couple weeks and is still getting oriented. He likes the area but it is EXPENSIVE! Not so crazy about living on the ship. Oh boy, he better get used to it or it will be along 4 years. LOL!! Anyway, just wanted to say hello. I do read and try to keep up with the happenings I just don't get to my computer to comment since I can't comment on my phone. Anyone else have a son or daughter on the TR?
