Hey John! Good to hear from you!! Chris is doing well, and on his second deployment. His ship is decommissioning next year (USS Peleliu) and then he has just a few short months after that until he's out. He has already enrolled in college up in Oregon; so when he's out, Ithink he will go straight there to school. Glad Dan is doing well! Hope you are too. Jodi

Dan is now officially separated from the Navy and at the University of Kentucky! Hope all is well with all of his fellow boot camp alum.

Dan is on track to get out in November, he plans on going to school to be a physicians assistant and then to possibly re-enlist.

Merry Christmas!

Hello Group! Not sure if anyone still checks on here. I haven't in quite some time. Just saw a post on FB by one of our sailors and it made me think of PIR. I can't believe they have been in the Navy for 4 years already. My son Mike has just recently made the decision not to reenlist. He has two more years to serve before getting out. He's out at Pearl getting ready to deploy soon. Things are going well for him finally. He was recently named JSOQ and received a NAM for some work he did. We're very proud of him to say the least. :)

Anybody still here? Dan is talking about re-enlisting or not and I thought about our group. Anybody else having the same conversations? Dan has been to A-stan with the marines and is now stateside close to home (yea?) How about an update on your sailors?

Anyone coming on today to check for new info, please keep our SR Barbara in your thoughts and prayers.  Light a candle for her for what lies ahead.  :  )

I think you are right and it will have to be MaryK that puts it up there.

The other idea I had was for each one of us to take a photo of ourselves holding up a sign that says something encouraging to Barbara and send it with our letters.  Like I think some of you all printed photos onto the actual letter when you wrote to your recruit back in the day.  What do you think?
