Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Has anyone gotten a letter from our Sailor in the div.  i keep checking the mail and nothing.  I read somewhere that the 19th they were allowed to write, but i havent received anything.

Nothing yet. Monday being a holiday it's going to take a little longer. It took a week for me to get my form letter. We gotta just hang in there. I still run to the mailbox & keep my cell phone close.

I just got back from chasing my mailman down,  and he didnt have anything.  i think he is ready to use pepper spray on me.  lol  oh will check again Thursday.  my cell phone is glued to my hands or if i am at work its right next to me on loud.

No letters from my son yet either.  He arrived GL same day as your sons but is Ship 11/Div 110.  Tomorrow is another day!

Got a letter yesterday afternoon! Sounds like he is doing good so far! Said the food was good :)

Ok Moms,  I feel that today is the day we all should get phone calls from our boys!!!  In Michael's letter dated 2-19 said i would be about 2 weeks before a call and well today makes 2 weeks!!  Keeping fingures cross for phone calls and letters this week!!!!

Keeping myself busy by putting new carpet in my bed room, and getting Michael's room painted and packe dup.  He asked me to pack his stuff so his lil sis could move in there because its alot bigger and as he put it she is messy and needs a bigger room!!!

Thanks for N4M are i would be going nuts!!  Ok well more than normal!!!  My husband joined the Navy dads site but he said we seem to get more information from the mom then the dads!!  Way to go Moms!!!

I spent Friday sobbing. Even called his recruiter ( he was very nice and very supportive) but I have heard nothing and am not doing well..This is harder than I thought. My son is ship 2 div 921. Sam's Mom

not sure when you wrote this..I received a letter last Thursday from my son..hang in there something will arrive if it hasn't already.  Anxious for April 6!

I got a letter on Thursday, and another one on Friday. I definitely wasn't expecting two! Has anyone received a phone call yet?

Dani,  I received a letter yesterday but no phone call yet.  Michael said it be about 2-3 weeks before he could call.

hope all are doing well and hanging in there.  It looks like our recruits are hitting the midway point!  Can't wait to see my son! everyone hang in there ...we are getting closer and closer to April 6!

 

I was just thinking today, that after just a couple more days I'll officially be closer to the day I see him than the day he left. So exciting! I can't wait.
