Susan J is taking some time off to catch up... So I am updating the rescue list for now! To be added to the list send me (Susan mom to Niko) a friend request. Then you can send me a private message with your name, location and phone number. Then you are added to the list!

Thanks to the many moms and more that have volunteered their names on the rescue list! It is amazing to know that no matter where our sailors travel in the United States there is a mom there ready to rescue them with a hot meal, place to stay, or help to get back on the road!

More information about "our" little girl Abby…they are not sure what is going on and she is undergoing extensive tests (MRI, blood tests, etc) along with physical therapy.  She has increasing balance and coordination issues, needs a corrective chair for sitting, and also has developed asthma.  I know you all will keep her in your thoughts and prayers!  They are exhausted with worry.

Thanks for info Staci. I will send him a card. I decided that either way it's a win. If he is still there, he gets another card. If he's not there that nursing home will see how many people care about our veterans. Thanks Staci, for helping him and following up on it. You make us Navy Moms even prouder!

I wish we could start a petition. maybe contact the VA...something!

Our "Navy baby" Abby's mom and dad are asking for our help to win a Valentine's Day "cutest couple" contest and gift certificate for their local theater!  Just go to this Facebook link and "like" their photo.  Please read their description at that link for an update on our precious Abby and send a prayer along too.  Thanks everyone, this would be a big boost for the family right now!  Here is the link:

Staci, you rock, as ever!  Sending a card to Mr. Chedester tomorrow.

Hi 2cats, I'm not sure he'll be moved anytime soon.  When I talked to the home I know he was still there.  Thank you so much for sharing that....I just want him to get flooded with cards.....and I sorta hope the lady that answered the phone and asked who I was, and who I was with (with a very snippy tone) understands just how many people will be sending cards....That part makes me laugh a little. .....Ewww I was so mad when she asked me who I was.....I just said...Who am I?  Really?  I am an American Citizen concerned about our Veteran's and their treatment and what your establishment did was wrong on so many levels...Thank you so much, and I'm researching what needs to happen to get him to the Veteran's Home in Marshalltown.  I'm not sure I can make that happen, but I'm sure going to give it a whirl!

Cheers to Friday, and thank you so very much for sending a card.
